Andrew Dawes has had a life long interest in art. On leaving school he had to choose between art and engineering. He was persuaded to follow a career in engineering working primarily in the power industry. However, he maintained his interest in art by attending courses, workshops and life drawing groups.

 

Having been a frequent visitor Andrew moved to Cornwall in 2006 attracted by the light, the scenery and the life style with the intention of dedicating more time to art. His vibrant colourful representational work is inspired by light, colour and form. He is currently the chairman of the LizardArt group.
