Wendy Rochefort studied art at a Midlands’ art college, however marriage and raising a family put an art career on hold for some years.  She returned to painting 9 years ago, taking part in a number of vocational classes in order to rediscover where her direction lay.  

Colour and texture have always been foremost in her work, describing subjects as diverse as architecture and nature.

 

Since moving to Cornwall she has been working in collage, the texture of the medium bringing life to her unique representations of Cornish harbours and semi-imaginary landscapes.  She has taken part in a number of joint exhibitions throughout the UK and is currently studying for a Foundation Degree in Fine Art.
